Offices becoming more eco friendly and productive

December 3rd, 2009

As more and more businesses start to realize that they have a lot of proactive PR and money to save by going green, eco-culture is starting to a larger part of the corporate business world. As the years pass with green becoming the new black, so to speak, corporate culture is finding new ways to adopt the green principles into its presence.

Businesses are now taking a look at the value of their employees as they are beginning to realize that outside of employee loyalty and brand identity the way their employees act and react in the office has a lot to say about their corporate identity.

For this reason, they are now looking at new ways to merge eco-awareness with their employee’s daily lives so that they are satisfied as well. This means taking a look at how they can better serve their employees so that they suffer from less stress and become more productive as workers.

One company that has done just this is the beauty company Nivea which initiated a program within large office spaces in London that is coined as oxygen powered office space. Oxygen is pumped into the offices to promote a feeling of well-being in staff and ultimately improve mental alertness among staff

The company also books sessions for an hour during which employees are able to visit an outdoor area, work stations, enjoy coffee with Wi-Fi, some television on plasma screens, and of course a beauty area where tired employees can try out the Nivea products and freshen up.

The company believes that an eco-friendly office not only helps with employee well-being but also promotes thinking outside of the box.

On another eco-friendly note, the growth in spare desk rental is driven by economic conditions, which are making companies take a serious look at cutting costs and at making the most from their existing space, and also by environmental concerns and a desire to reduce wastage. So, if you are looking for office rental in London - click on desk space London - however, I can’t guarantee you
