UFO’s or Sky Lanterns?
February 13th, 2009Ever since a certain product being launched and gaining popularity in the UK and various other countries there have been a lot of reported sightings of strange, unidentified flying objects that float silently and glow in the sky. The stories have even made it into national newspapers with many people speculating as to what these things could be? Some are scared that the world is slowly being invaded by aliens, whilst others want to get in contact with them to harness their ability to create slowly floating aircrafts.One explanation that has emerged that is possible slightly closer to the truth is the idea that they are simply a product called sky lanterns, these are a safe alternative to fireworks that when let off float silently into the sky, rising up to as much as 1km high. Indeed in one so called UFO sighting a bride and groom later came forward saying that they had organised a mass release of sky lanterns nearby.
It is quite funny to hear these products being described as looking like something out of this world as in reality they are simply made of bamboo and non flammable bio degradable paper. As they float into the sky they do certainly look magical, glowing brightly and visible from miles away. Nevertheless for people to believe that it is an alien aircraft does amuse many people who sell and provide them!
